1. Who this policy covers
This policy describes how Morphfun ("the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use it on iOS or Android. Morphfun is developed and distributed by an independent developer, not a company with servers processing your data — that distinction matters here more than it usually does, because it is the reason most of this policy is short.
2. We do not operate a backend
Morphfun has no server of its own. There is no account to create, no cloud database, and no infrastructure that photos, prompts, or results pass through on their way anywhere. Every morph runs as a direct request from your device to the AI provider you configured in Settings → AI Provider.
3. Your photos and your chosen AI provider
Morphfun is Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): you supply your own API key for Google Gemini, OpenAI, or fal.ai, and the app calls that provider directly with the photo, the style prompt, and any direction you typed. That provider processes the request and returns the result to your device. We are not a party to that exchange and never receive a copy of the photo, the prompt, or the result.
Because the request goes to a company we do not control, their privacy policy governs how they handle it while they have it:
- Google Gemini — policies.google.com/privacy
- OpenAI — openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
- fal.ai — fal.ai/privacy
4. Your API key
Your key is stored in your device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) using platform-native encrypted storage. It never leaves your device except in the one request you initiate to your chosen provider — it is not sent to us, logged, or included in crash reports, because none of those exist. You can remove a saved key at any time from Settings → AI Provider.
5. What actually lives on your device
Everything the app produces stays local, in the app's own storage:
- Photos you pick to morph — read from your library, never copied off-device by us
- Saved results — written to the app's local documents folder, shown in the Gallery tab
- Your API key — device keychain, encrypted
- App preferences (theme, onboarding state, whether demo data is loaded)
Uninstalling the app removes all of it. You can also delete individual saved images from the Gallery, or clear everything at once from Settings → Storage.
6. Subscription and payment data
Morphfun is subscription-only (7 days free, then $4.99/month), billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or handle your card details. Purchase validation and entitlement status are managed by RevenueCat, which receives your purchase/transaction identifiers and a device identifier to confirm your subscription is active. RevenueCat does not receive your photos, your AI provider key, or anything you create in the app.
7. No analytics, no ads, no tracking
Morphfun ships with no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no advertising SDK. We have no way to see how you use the app, what you morph, or how often you open it. There is nothing to opt out of because nothing is being collected.
8. Children's privacy
Morphfun is built for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect personal information from anyone, period — there is no server-side collection mechanism to knowingly or unknowingly trigger. Parental guidance is recommended for users under 13, consistent with the in-app content guidelines shown on first launch.
9. Your rights
Under regulations like the GDPR and CCPA, you generally have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because Morphfun holds no personal data of yours on any server we operate, there is nothing for us to look up, export, or delete on request — your photos and results already live only on your own device, under your own control, and your API key and purchase relationship are each governed by the third party that actually holds them (your AI provider, RevenueCat, and Apple/Google respectively). For anything involving those parties, contact them directly using the links above; for anything involving the app itself, contact us at the address below.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters — a new third-party service, a change in what a provider receives — we will update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
